Throwback request: “357 Magnum Riddim”, produced by Steely & Clevie in 1989
The “357 Magnum Riddim”, produced by Steely & Clevie in 1989, features Ninja Man, Jonny P, Lady Patra, and more.
It’s a typical Dancehall riddim of the late 80’s/early 90’s. The way the drum beat is recorded and arranged, you can tell it was produced by the legendary duo of producers Steely & Clevie. If you listen carefully, you’ll notice there are patterns and sonorities similar to those of the “Poco In The East Riddim” for instance.
It’s quite a good Dancehall riddim. It’s probably not the kind of dididm that drives you crazy from the first bars. But if you wish to expend your old school caribbean music collection, you should check it out.
I hope you enjoyed this riddim. Do not hesitate to share and comment below.
