To submit music or events for review and/or promotion, please e-mail us at submission[@]jamworld876.net. Make sure you take a look at the guidelines below.

Guidelines

The more information you give, the easier it is for us to post a write-up. Below, are mentioned a few things that can help us produce an interesting write-up.

E-mail layout

The subject of your e-mail should be clear.

• For music, you should write the name of the artist, the title of the piece of music you are sharing, and the release date in the subject of your e-mail.
• For events, you should write the name of the event, the date, and venue in the subject of your e-mail.

A description is always appreciated.

Describe as much as possible the content you are submitted. We find it interesting to know about the context of an event, or who produced a song.

Share your content.

• For music, attach a file (< 25mb) or add a link where your music can be heard, and also share the art cover. Submissions without art cover, and/or without preview, won’t be shared.
• For events, send us a copy of the flyer, and share the link where people can buy tickets. Either way, your submission won’t be accepted.

Genres and styles accepted

You can share music and events of the following genres and styles

• Reggae (Roots, Nu Roots, Reggae Fusion…)
• Dancehall (Classic, Modern, Crossover,…)
• Other genres of caribbean music: Ska, Rocksteady, Soca, Calypso…
• Afrobeat
• Hip Hop / R’n’B

We are specialized in Caribbean music, and more particularly in Reggae & Dancehall. Though, we are also interested in World music, and urban music. You can submit music of other genres than the aforementioned ones.

Accepted types of submissions

• Music: Albums (EPs, LPs, Street Albums…), Compilations (Including riddim albums), Mixes (Mega Mixes, Mixtapes…), Singles (Including Remixes)
• Mixing tools: Samples, Sound Effects, Acapellas, Freeware, Tips, Tutorials,…
• Dub sessions
• Events: Festivals, Concerts, Radio Shows, Interviews…
• Videos: Music, Interviews…

You can share music, and videos by uploading it on our website or by sharing with us a link for streaming/download on a third-party content such as Youtube, Daily motion, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, or any other websites of this kind.
