May 2020 Albums
Anthony B – King in My Castle (Born Fire Music)
[Next: Lila Ike – The Experience]
5 years after the release of “Tears of Luv,” Anthony B is back with a brand-new album titled “King in My Castle,” also produced by Born Fire Music.
Despite sounding very classic, the title track is more than decent, and has a very catchy hook… “King in my castle, king in my castle, I’m a king in my castle.” The album incmudes a few other good tracks such as “Liberator,” and “Talk, Talk, Talk,” featuring Zamunda, on a modern recut of the “Boops Riddim.”
Some tracks like “Great China Wall,” which a cover of “Let It Be,” and “Be With You Everywhere,” featuring Chatal, are dispensable. One could add on top of this list, the couple tracks Anthony B voiced on commercial mainstream Dancehall riddims, such as “What’s a Woman Worth,” featuring Pressure, on a pop-oriented remake of the teribly annoying “Hold Yuh Riddim.”
