“Nuff a them come. Nuff a them fall. Nuff a them stumble. Jah children on the rising struggle.” These are the words of a young man who is living in what we call word sound power. His name is Jahriffe. He’s the face of the Jah -N-I Roots Band. His songs are simplistic, melodic and straight to our hearts and ears. It’s sometimes the medicine that’s prescribed to us whether we like it or not we need it. Reggae music has always been about the feel that comes with the message. The meaning.Jahriffe has taken time out to perfect the craft of singing and delivering on stage what is basically old school roots rock Reggae. The words are as important as the melody. The chords are as important as the delivery. He’s actually one we need to pay attention to. He’s also a teacher and a very spiritual individual. These are some of the things that allows him to stay grounded and focused.I’ve taken time out to listen to this artist and his message. He sounds like veteran which he’s not, but it’s refreshing to see and hear a young act that takes us to a time where music is a reflection of the person singing and performing which compels us to listen.
Music is his passion
So it’s safe to say after hearing the former two albums (“Rastafari Love” and “Check Your Timing”) and the new singles he’s on the right path. Jahriffe describes music as his passion, and one that allows him to share with his thoughts and views with shared minds.Look out for the new album “Reflections”. The latest single has same title. Go check out singles like “Rasta Can’t Fade”. New single dropping “Push On”. Stay with us as we keep our eyes on this artist on the rise.
