Throwback: The “Queen Majesty Riddim”, produced by Digital B in 2003
The “Queen Majesty Riddim” is a Modern Lovers Rock Reggae Riddim that was produced in 2003 by Bobby “Digital B” Dixon. It is a remake of a classic. The very first version was a Rocksteady cover of Curtis Mayfield & The Impressions’ 1963 ballad “Minstrel & Queen”, performed by The Techniques in 1967.
This version had a really different feel from the original. It was so refreshing that it became a hit back then. Ever since, the riddim has been remade and voiced a couple times. For instance, labels such as Peckings and Studio One have produced their versions. Digital B‘s version features Cocoa Tea, Anthony Cruz, Lukie D, Sizzla and more.
Track list:
01 – A.J.Brown – New love
02 – Anthony B – No Hush
03 – Anthony Cruz – Dont leave
04 – Benjy Myaz – Thank you lord
05 – Cocoa Tea – Can not be real
06 – Lukie D – Show some kindness
07 – Norris Man – Jah Is The Ruler
08 – Sizzla – Just One Of Those Days
