Steely & Clevie presents the “Street Sweer Riddim,” released in 1999
The “Street Sweeper Riddim” was produced by Wycliffe “Steely” Johnson & Cleveland “Clevie” Brown, for Studio 2000, in 1999.
A 90’s Dancehall classic riddim
It’s an excellent Dancehall riddim of the late 90’s. It is minimalistic like most riddims of this era, and lies mostly on a rhythmic section. The beat has the straight pattern of a military marching band rhythm. On top of it, a dark guitar-like synth sometimes sparks in, and add some tension.
A good line-up
The compilation features various artists such as Bounty Killer, Anthony B, Sean Paul & Mr. Vegas, Buju Banton, and more. You may click here to view the full track list.
