Throwback of the week: The “Undying Love Riddim”
This week, check out the Undying Love Riddim. A sweet lovers rock riddim featuring artists such as Admiral Tibet, Cornell Campbell, Frankie Paul, Freddie McGregor and many more.
In 1968, Ernest “Fitzroy” Wilson recorded the track “Undying Love,” that was produced by Clement “Coxsone” Dodd for Studio One Records. A few years later, in 1976, the song was covered by Cornell Campbell & The Eternals.
In the mid-90’s, Bobby “Digital” Dixon relicked the “Undying Love”. It featured a couple of very good tracks like a cover of 1994 Des’ree‘s hit song “You Gotta Be” performed by Spanner Banner. And Frankie Paul‘s excellent love song “Broken Heart”.
So here, I have compiled 17 tracks that were voiced on this classic riddim from 1968 until 1998. Enjoy! Share and do not hesitate to comment.
