Lord knows say me “Tired” like Bounty Killer
Thank God it’s Fr… oh no, it’s not. But today is Throwback Thursday. “Poor people tired!”. Many of you probably had a rough week at work and are tired too. If you’re also exhausted, I invite you to get get an extra boost of energy with some good old Bounty Killer‘s vibe.
Rodney “Bounty Killer” Price has always been very outspoken. He always stands his ground and he is raw as hell. His realness is probably one of his most notable qualities as an artist. He’s no “chatty chatty mouth” blabbering nonsense just for the hype of it.
He speaks his mind and he also dares to speak up for the voiceless too. “Fed Up” is a good example of what I mean. In the same style, he also released two tracks entitled “Tired” on the “Fowl Fight” and on the “Bank Inna The Pocket Riddim”.
These are clearly social commentaries on the weariness of the people who are constantly oppressed by the system either because of economical or political issues. In these tracks, he clearly exposes the despair of the middle and lower-class in simple words. And the most striking about this, it’s the fact that it is still true 10 years later.
