Busy Signal decide fi answer… find out what happens
If you’re a Dancehall fan reading this post, I guess there’s no need to introduce Busy Signal. In 2009, he released a track entitled “Nah Answer”, on the “Knock On The Bench Riddim”. The Dancehall artist sings narrates his one-night stand with a girl who is persistently calling him while he’s ignoring the call, accompanied by someone who’s knocking on a bench. The song is ver similar to a freestyle in terms of production. Yet it is wicked and thanks to Busy‘s catchy flow you keep on listening to the track to find out how it is going to end.DOWNLOAD “Nah Answer Pt 1”Later on, he released “Nah Answer Pt 2 – Mi Decide Fi Answer”, in which the story turns out a bit differently. Let’s say it’s an alternative ending. This time, Busy decides to answer the call. And there you go, the song is a conversation between Busy Signal and a girl named Andrea. This time the riddim is slightly more elaborate. The drums are played in a way to sound like a “knock on the bench” beat and a couple of finger snappings were added. Also, Busy‘s flow is more laid-back. Again, we can acknowledge his musical versatility and his lyrical ingenuity as he turns out what could have been a regular chat into a theatrical Dancehall performance.DOWNLOAD “Nah Answer Pt 2 – Mi Decide Fi Answer”
