Blazin Faya Sound presents “Guttaz of the Ghetto”, performed by Damas
Blazin Faya Sound releases a brand-new single entitled “Guttaz of the Ghetto”, performed by Damas on the soon to be released “Door of No Return Riddim”. “Guttaz of the Ghetto” was produced by Andreas Källstrom for Daily Productions in collaboration with Blazin Faya Sound and mixed at Disciples Studio by Russ D. The “Door of No Return Riddim” will also feature Norris Man, Chukka Starr, Damas, Lutan Fyah, Jah Defender, Caribinghi, Royal Messenger and Chaddy Royal. In “Guttaz of the Ghetto”, Damas delivers a deep reflection upon the era of colonization. On a nyahbinghi-flavored Roots Reggae he relates the looting of Africa: “in the guttaz of the ghetto, where we sat down. There where we sat down. I remember when they came and take I crown and they burned I home”. Then, the Jamaican artist claims his strong attachment to the motherland, adding: “Ethiopia is my birth place”. And he reminds us that you will always know where you’re going if you know where you come from.Overall, it’s a profound single on a fairly well produced Reggae Roots riddim with an historical dimension. I recommend you to take a listen if you like deep Roots. Share and comment if you like it.GET IT ON BANDCAMPFOR MORE INFO LINK US AT
