Gappy Ranks & Bridgez – Curl

Gappy Ranks teams up with female Dancehall artist Brigdez to deliver an overly sensual single, produced by Riddim Sky Records, entitled “Curl”. The riddim is quite minimalistic. It’s mainly characterized by a chime-sounding lead backed up by a light ensemble of soft synth strings. The perceptible nonchalance of the beat adds up to the sexiness of the track. The drums sound synthetic and the riddim happens to be rather repetitive, which sort of make the overall track lose some of its appeal. “Curl” is surely not the best combination Gappy Ranks has ever recorded in his career yet it is a honestly decent track.
