Magic in cultures and music
There is something unique about music and the way it makes you feel when you hear different cultures and sounds blending and interacting as one. I’ve asked on occasions, “is music really indigenous?”
Whether you’re from the east of the globe or you’re American, Dutch, Spanish, doesn’t great music make you think or feel some kinda emotions. As a Jamaican I grew up listening Third World, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and many great others.
The fact is it’s hard not to have some sense of emotion after listening to their albums or projects. I understand the cultural aspects but thats art in general. To move the people and provoke thought.
When you hear it you know it. You know when you hear a little latin music with some Jamaican Merenge or some Hip Hop mixed with a little Rock & Roll. Again people this isn’t something new but every now and again there’s this production that carries that vibe that aura that sense that tingles those musical nerves. I know most lovers of music can relate. Let’s give some credit to YB Records for taking the musical risk that producers are scared to try.
Lose control
“Lose Control” is a track that carries all the signature touches. It’s warm, melodic and its bilingual. Both artists Chris Tijera and Indie Allen displayed such chemistry that its clear there would be future collabs.
The track is worthy to be played just about everyday and everywhere. Produced by YB Productions the track is also a reflection of the labels eclectic background and constant pushing of the envelope within Dancehall, Reggae and world music.
