Steel Pulse reacts to the Ferguson shooting in a brand-new Reggae single
“Hands Up, I Can’t Breathe”, is the latest single recorded by England-based Reggae band Steel Pulse. In this song, David Hinds is clearly denouncing unfair acts of cruelty by the police, such as the fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson. In the chorus he relates the situation of a harmless man who is about to get shot by the police. He sings:
Don’t shoot! I got my hands up! Don’t shoot! I put my hands up! Shoot I keep our mouth shut! What do you want from me?
