Gappy Ranks unveils brand-new music video for the single “Generation”
Shortly after releasing Reggae EP “Generation”, produced by Flava McGregor, Gappy Ranks unveils a brand-new music video, directed by Nikeel, for his single of the same name. The UK-based Reggae Dancehall sing jay starts telling us about his origins, childhood and musical influences. In a sort of way he recounts the caribbean music history in an old-school style and fashion on a remake of the classic “Baba Boom Riddim”. He bigs up selectors and artists who largely contributed to the development of the Reggae industry and paved the way for artists of our generation like himself. He also denounces the greediness of certain artists who only make music for money and not necessarily for the love of it.The 8-track EP “Generation”, which features foundation artists such as Sugar Minott, Marcia Griffiths and Barrington Levy, is available for purchase on iTunes.
