King ITal Rebel unveils official music video for Reggae single “Jah Warrior”
“Jah warriors no fear!” King ITal Rebel says so. After collaborating with IDM producer Grimbit on a nitty gritty drum and bass-oriented dub track, King ITal Rebel now drops the official music video of “Jah Warrior” that he released this summer. The music video, directed by Caged Cubez from The Cubed Effect, is rather clean and simple. It mostly shows ITal waving the Ethiopian and Pan-African flags. A couple of footage of people playing dominos and street life scenes. The track, co-produced by JamrockVybz Records & Macles Music Factory Productions, is pretty good. Despite the heavily grainy vocals of ITal, the song sounds pleasant. His slightly gruff voice actually adds up to the authenticity of the track, which is all about the Rastafarian movement. The harmonies performed by Empress Jinnel & Promise No Promises are blending in very smoothly. Marc Leys, who played the keys, the guitar and the bass line also did a pretty good job not only at backing the track but also at engineering. The bass really stands out nice and deep. It sorts of reminds me of the bass line of the 2009 “Bad Boy Riddim”. Wim “Radics” Verbuggen from the Asham Band, who played the drums, incorporated a nice nyabinghi feel, which also contributes to make this Roots Reggae track to sound colorful and dynamic.
