Born on March 12th, 1932, Don Drummond would have turned 86 today, if he was still alive. Even though he’s dead, his legacy still lives on. He is the most influential Jamaican trombonists in the history of Ska, and Reggae music.Indeed, he has inspired all who followed such as Vin Gordon aka Don Drummond Junior, Ronald “Nambo” Robinson, and Rico Rodriguez, amongst others.He was one of the founders of the most popular Jamaican Ska band, The Skatalites.
