Volume 10/90: Greensleeves Rhythm Album #10 – Tixx/Blaze
“Greensleeves Rhythm Album #10: Tixx/Blaze” is the 10th installment album of the Greensleeves Records‘ rhythm album series. It gathers 2 various-artist compilations: The Tixx & The Blaze Riddims, which were produced by Christopher ‘CJ’ James and released in 2000/2001.
1. The Tixx Riddim
The Tixx is a brilliant Dancehall ridim, which starts off a sample of the classic Reggae riddim “Truth & Rights” made famous by Johnny Osbourne. On this riddim, Sizzla Kalonji delivers the hit song “To The Point”, with his incredibly fast trademark flow. The riddim also features Beenie Man, Mr Vegas, Elephant, Ward 21, Zumjay, Mad Cobra and more.
2. The Blaze Riddim
The Blaze sounds more more cheerful as it is less raw and aggressive than the “Tixx Riddim”. It almost features the same artists but also Lexxus, Lady Saw, Frisco Kid and Kiprich.
