The “Holding Firm Riddim” is a Reggae compilation produced by Richard “Bello” Bell for Star Trail Records. The reasons why I chose to share this riddim with you this week, is not only because “Holding Firm Riddim” sounds quite unique in its genre with a soulful set of horns but also because it features a very nice palette of Reggae artists including Garnett Silk, Anthony B, Sizzla, Everton Blender amongst many others.

Reggae legend Mykal Rose, who is going to perform tomorrow night (Friday, Sept. 5th) in Cervantes Masterpiece BallRoom, in Denver, CO is one of them. His single “Blood Up” on the Holding Firm Riddim is another classic tune that will echo in reggae enthusiasts heads eternally.  Tunes by all of the artists pon this riddim are definite classics and this is a must have for every one who loves the reggae sound.  If you’re in CO, come check Mykal Rose out tomorrow in Denver at Cervantes and catch some irie vibes from one of reggae’s finest voices.
