Dre Day Productions presents the “Wet Weather Riddim”
Seductive and chilled, this brand-new riddim is a combination of the rawness of a Dancehall triplet classic drum beat with the warmth of sweet modern pop synths. The compilation features Voicemail, Leftside, Chico, Javado, Kalado and Sean Paul’s back-up singer Fahrenheit aka Farenizzi.
“The sweetest time is when the rain start fall and my girl start to call…” In the single “Rain”, Leftside refers to Ronnie Thwaites’ classic Dancehall hit “Mr Luxury” in the intro and demonstrates one more time how versatile he can be. His vocals are quite incredible in this song. In the keeping with the theme of rain, Leftside also sort of self-referred to his own song by dropping a couple of gimmicks and pieces taken from older songs such as when he says “umbrella” (00:53) like in the song “I Can Transform Ya”.
The overall riddim is quite good, most artists did a good job on this one and Despite its relatively slow tempo (92 BPM), the “Wet Weather Riddim” could definitely be a club banger. Let us know what you think about it.
